They did it again. After the amazing and hilarious "Shaun of the Dead", the team that made it reunited to make a new great film.
The first time I saw Simon Pegg and Nick Frost was in the TV series Spaced, also directed by Edgar Wright, which was quite good, but their finest moment came with "Shaun of the Dead", a memorable tribute to zombies films that quickly became one of my favorite.
"Hot Fuzz", their new film, is an action movie with lots of comedy about a London police officer, with an astonishing record of arrests, who is sent to a little town in the country-side because he makes the rest of the police officers of the city look bad. At first, he finds the little town really boring, but after some strange murders begin to happen he realizes it isn't gonna be so boring after all.
The movie has some absurd situations, but it also has some really good action scenes and is full of funny moments. Pegg and Frost are a great leading couple, both of them make every minute of the film enjoyable.
It's not "Shaun of the Dead", and doesn't pretend to, but it's well worth it.
