"Juan Pujol, El Espía Que Derrotó a Hitler" (book review)

juanpujolJavier Juárez is the author of this biography of Juan Pujol García, codename Garbo, a Spanish double agent who worked for the allies during World War II, being a key actor in the allied secret services plan called Operation Fortitude, conceived to deceive the Third Reich and make Hitler and his commanders think the main landing on French soil would be on Calais.

Pujol's story is certainly peculiar, and the way he managed to became a double agent is worth knowing, but his important role in World War II has been sadly ignored by most people, something this book tries to rectify.

As well as Pujol´s life, the author tries to resume the stories of other allied and axis spies, like, for example, Wilhelm Canaris, so the reader has a complete view of those implicated in the main events.

Easy to read, you can´t stop till you finish it, something hard to achieve in a History book, it´s a great tribute to Pujol.
